CONTEXT

Holo Cafe is a themed café in Houston, Texas, that combines casual dining with augmented reality (AR) technology. Founded in early 2022, it offers a unique experience where customers interact with AR holograms of popular fictional characters while enjoying a variety of desserts, drinks, and snacks. Targeted at tech-savvy college students aged 18-24, the café aims to build awareness and loyalty through social media campaigns and a rewards program.

Case Study

The primary objectives of Holo Cafe are to generate sales through its dining and AR experiences, build customer awareness via social media campaigns, and establish customer loyalty programs. The café faces several challenges, including economic constraints due to inflation, low consumer confidence as a new business, and technical issues related to advanced AR equipment. To address these challenges, Holo Cafe has set specific goals: reaching 1,000 social media followers, securing 30 sign-ups for its loyalty program, and achieving 400 sales within specific timeframes.

The target audience for Holo Cafe consists of tech-savvy, socially active college students aged 18-24 from diverse backgrounds who are eager to explore new digital experiences and enjoy socializing in trendy, aesthetically pleasing environments. Through market research, Holo Cafe identified the need for a community-centric space where customers can enjoy a nostalgic and interactive dining experience.

By leveraging social media and digital analytics tools, Holo Cafe plans to monitor and optimize its marketing strategies to ensure growth and customer satisfaction. The case study delves into the persona design, customer insights, and data analysis that informed the café's strategy, providing a comprehensive look at how Holo Cafe aims to redefine the casual dining experience through the fusion of technology and entertainment.

Marketing Strategy

In the second phase of the Holo Cafe project, our team focused on developing a comprehensive social media strategy to boost brand awareness and customer engagement. We created a detailed posting schedule for platforms including Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube, aligning our content with the café's unique AR-themed dining experience. Our posts were designed to captivate our target audience of tech-savvy college students, featuring promotions, events, and interactive challenges. By leveraging a mix of engaging captions, relevant hashtags, and visually appealing media, we aimed to drive traffic to Holo Cafe’s website and encourage RSVPs, ultimately enhancing both online and in-person customer experiences.
